Grasslands, sometimes called savannas, are located in almost half of Africa, and in areas of South America, Australia, and India. Savannas can be made naturally and by human effort. Humans make grasslands by burning grass and trees to grow crops and elephants can make grasslands by knowing down trees and stomping on tree seedlings. Grasslands usually have a warm climate with temperature that range from 68-86°F. The climate of the area is also expressed by 6-8 month wet summer season and a 4-6 month dry winter season. The annual precipitation of the area is 25-75 cm with some occasional lighting that usually lights the dry grass of the savanna on fire.
